Agreement-to-Sell/Sales agreement is a contract between the parties (the buyer and seller) which states the intentions of the parties and contains important terms and conditions which the parties have agreed to and are binding upon them. The Agreement-to-Sell precedes the Sale deed and is the basis for drafting the Sale deed. The Agreement to Sell offers risk protection to both parties and hence is commonly used when big ticket items are involved e.g. in Real Estate
